Luminosity isn't something you find, it's someone you return to that has never left you. It is the luminous core of who you are; steady, whole and quietly radiant, even in your most depleted moments.

Trusting Resilience

Left to care for a mother struggling with severe, undiagnosed schizophrenia, Heather is pulled into a relentless journey through a broken mental health system—facing legal barriers, emotional exhaustion, and the painful reality of loving someone who cannot meet her halfway.

But this is not just a story of hardship.

When Heather Moore’s father suddenly dies, her world fractures overnight.

Of choosing compassion when resentment would be easier.
Of learning to forgive what feels unforgivable.
And of discovering that resilience is not about enduring alone but about trusting yourself, your path, and the possibility of healing.

Reviews

“What impacted me most was how deeply human and relatable it feels as it’s not just a story about hardship, but about love, advocacy, forgiveness, and learning to keep showing up even in the most painful seasons. You can feel the courage it took to write something this personal."

Annika

“The author, Heather Moore, takes the reader on her personal journey, navigating through life with an undiagnosed, untreated schizophrenic mother. Like other untreated illnesses, family members become casualties. The book is raw, harrowing, heartfelt, and powerful - exactly as it should be. Mental illness is ugly, and Heather is unapologetic and unafraid in sharing her personal experience living with it.”

Melissa

“The Author, Heather Moore, writes about her mother's schizophrenia with such tenderness and honesty that you feel like you're right there with her, trying to make sense of something that never fully makes sense. It's messy and real and heartbreaking in the way only true stories can be.”

Annie

“Trusting Resilience felt deeply personal to me in a way many books about mental health and healing do not. As both a nurse and someone navigating my own recovery and mental health journey, I found myself reflecting on how much pain people quietly carry. The honesty in this book made me feel seen and understood."
